We had a very special visitor in our media center the other day. Her name is Audilee Boyd Taylor, the author of "Where Did My Feather Pillow Come From?". Our kindergarteners enjoyed her visit and her story. Thank you Audilee!

Look! Aliens in the Library!!!!

I learned the computer program, Frames, and think it would be an awesome way to do a media festival project. It is loaded on every computer in the computer lab and in the media center! Come to the media center and sign up your class to turn a creative writing assignment into a great video!

AR News!

Here are some highlights from the AR parties last year! We are changing our approach to using our AR program at Taylors Creek! Students now are taking reading tests to determine their personalized reading goals! These goals measure how much they practice, how good that practice is, and if that practice is on their reading level. We believe that this will boost reading growth.
